 
Adelaide is the capital of South Australia, and sits on the Torrens River. Although smaller than the other main cities of Australia, Adelaide is a relaxing and well laid-out city with beautiful parks and gardens within an easy walk of the city centre.
With a Mediterranean climate Adelaide has summer days that average 29 degrees C (although you can expect some very hot days), and winter days that typically have temperatures in the mid-teens.
